Consultancy

& Surveying

Tonks Brothers Tree Services is able to offer an extensive Consultancy and Surveying service to both its private and commercial tree owners. Tree Inspections and Surveys are required for a variety of reasons it may be that the safety and health of the tree needs to be established due to damage age or disease, or the requirements of a mortgage report or part of a planning application.

Within our surveying services we use a Digital Software package (DigiTerra Explorer Software). This enables us to provide a user friendly efficient mapping system for any size area or site that requires management for any number of requirements. From a domestic garden to a large scale conservation area we are able to collate continuous information on trees, plants and anything that maybe a requirement to the survey. This information and the details required are not exhaustive and can be updated and accessed simply and easily without the need to re-survey the area in full depth again. By using this system it is not only efficient but in the long term more cost effective than the old style surveying methods.

Quite often before work can commence we will need to make a TPO (Tree Preservation Order) application to establish what work can be undertaken or what restrictions may be in place.

We offer the required expertise to provide these inspections and surveys in accordance with the British Standard 5837 2012 Trees in Relation to Construction Recommendation for building near trees.

We also offer the following Consultancy/Surveying services:

  • Tree Inspection & Surveys

  • DigiTerra

  • Tree Risk Assessment

  • Preservation Orders & Planning

  • BS5837:2015 Surveys & Reports

  • Mortgage reports
