About Us
Tonks Brothers Tree Services is a family run business established in 1995 by James Tonks and his father John, based near Lichfield, Staffordshire. They were joined by his brother Jonathan in 1997 and together they have worked hard to earn a reputation for their high standard and competitively priced professional tree surgery. As the business grew over the years, James wife Clare joined the team to manage the office and administration.
We are recognised amongst our clients for our quality of customer service, great attention to detail and personal touch that has instilled confidence in them to use our services time and time again. We have worked together to develop experience in delivering a full Arboricultural Service including Domestic work, Commercial, Utility, Surveying, Tree Reports, Woodland Management Services and Grounds Maintenance for a wide variety of clients throughout the UK and Central Regions.
As a registered Council Approved Contractor and Arboricultural Association Approved Contractor we have worked for both Lichfield District Council and Birmingham City Council in the restoration of SSSI (Sites of Specific Scientific Interest) sites, Parks and Public Open Spaces and Public Burial Grounds.
We pride ourselves on taking the same professional approach to all our jobs working to BS3998 (British Standards 3998) recommendations for tree work. We are dedicated to providing our workforce with up to date training to NPTC certification standards and investment in Health and Safety requirements essential in providing a professional service both commercially and domestically in today’s Arboriculture market.
